    HAWAIIAN ISLANDS
     Extensive files on the state, including people, culture, events, landmarks, resorts, scenics, historical sites, natural history, flora & fauna. Photos from the islands of Hawaii (The Big Island), Maui, Molokai, Lanai, Oahu, Kauai, Niihau and even some of the far-flung Northwest Islands. I lived in Hawaii for over 20 years and return frequently to update the files. Subjects include: Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Pu'u O'o volcano eruptions, Kailua-Kona, Puuhonua O Honaunau National Historic Site, the Kohala Coast resorts, Waimea, Haleakala, Hana coast, Kaanapali, Kalaupapa, Waikiki, Honolulu, Pearl Harbor, Kokee State Park, Kalalau Valley, Waimea Canyon, Hanalei, Haena and the Na Pali coast.

    NATURE & THE ENVIRONMENT
     Landscapes, seascapes, patterns in nature. Flora and fauna from the above locations, including endemic and endangered Hawaiian species and the Northern Spotted Owl. Desert, wetland, coastal, tropical rainforest and coniferous forest habitats. Geology, including volcano eruptions in Hawaii, lava types and landforms; atolls and volcanic islands in the Pacific.

    SPORTS
     Recreational activities including golf, fishing, running, bicycling, windsurfing, kayaking, whitewater rafting, hiking and camping from the geographic areas listed above.
